Windstar Kennels is dedicated to the health and well being of your pet.

Because health and nutrition are important, we feed only top quality pet foods but also encourage owners to bring food that the pet is accustomed to at home.

Vaccinations / Immunizations

Operated under the Pet Care Facilities Act, Windstar Kennels is licensed and regulated by the Colorado Department of Agriculture and Weld County with inspections made by the Colorado Health Department. Inspection reports are on file in our office.

For your pet's protection and under Colorado Law, we must validate and collect vaccination records for your pet.
For dogs we require the following:

* Bordatella
* Rabies
* Distemper
* Canine Parvo

For Cats

* Feline Leukemia

We strive to provide Tender Loving care for your pets while they stay with us.

Effective July 10, 2004, we will strictly enforce the Department of Agriculture regulations regarding food and medications as well as supplements.

For owners who bring their own pet food, we WILL no longer accept food unless it is in an airtight container. This may be Tupperware or similar container or canister. NO open or unopened bags of food.

All medications, over the counter medications, supplements and vitamins must be in their ORIGINAL containers. NO baggies, no pill containers, and no remarked prescription bottles.

For the safety of your dog, we will no longer accept white rawhide bones or any type of stuffed toys. We will allow compressed rawhide, kongs, rope toys, and other toys at our discretion.

PLEASE have your dog on a leash coming in and out of the kennel.

We provide all bedding for your pet.
